Same. I think the reason we don't have more riots in Europe is the huge amount of affordable distractions (alcohol, porn, tinder, social media, streaming shows, video games, weed, etc.) to distract us from the real problems (unaffordable housing while increasing immigration and stagnating wages, wealth transfer from poor to rich, underfunded healthcare with ever increasing waiting times, unsustainable pension system, high interest rates on loans with low rates on savings, etc.)
Without all of that we'd see a lot more young men have more free time to protest against their future being take away from them.

- ChuckNorris89 3y agoThe military is funding psy-ops to make you think there'll be hot young e-girls waiting for you if you enlist, instead of big dudes.
- tsss 3y agoFor the same reason that drugs are illegal: If there is an affordable happy pill they can't sell you their fake shit anymore. People that give up on the rat race are outside of their power.

- Foobar8568 3y agoI am not sure this to be the case in practice, maybe the young generation,but the older one, I am unsure.(taking the point of my grand father who couldn't stand most things related to this era).
- mcpackieh 3y agoNo surprise that video games in which the player is a rebel or revolutionary against a dysfunctional or oppressive system are so popular. These games pander to and soothe people's discontent. For a while, when playing the game, the player feels as though they are accomplishing something productive to improve their life and environment.
