The Future of Online Radio
- joao_msbandeira 3y agoEven though you can find plenty of websites to listen to radio online, I've always found them very poor (UI/UX is terrible), and I doubt they have good coding practices - tech stack is many times outdated. We want to solve this and bring you a new way to listen to online radio for free, bringing new technologies and focusing on the user. Please let us know what you think! https://www.myradioglobal.com/ https://www.myradioglobal.com/
- simonblack 3y agoWhile it's nice to get a very large grid of available radio stations, it might also be helpful to have some form of documentation so that we know what internet protocol is being used and what app/software/OS is required. It's not greatly helpful to click on one of those icons and nothing happens apart from some form of activity animation. No sound on hitting the 'play' icon, no sound when raising the volume control to max. Shortwave is working for me, so something in my system is available there but not in myradioglobal.
- joao_msbandeira 3y agoHi simonblack, sorry to hear about your experience - we are still improving several aspects of the website to ensure every user has a seamless experience with myRadio Global (decreasing streaming loading teams, ensuring quick radio transitions, etc). Would be great if you could send me more info at joao@myradioglobal.com so we can figure out what happened and how we can solve it (your operating system, where you are connecting from, country you selected, etc). Thank you for the feedback and once again sorry for the bad experience you had with us.
- atmanactive 3y agoThis is excellent, congrats! What I would like to see in a web app like this is personal favorites management, together with custom bookmarks. I am a big radio lover and I have several paid radio services which means I need a way to insert a custom URL, put custom name and icon for it. But also, I love exploring new stations. So personal favorites is a must for me. I tested every radio app under the sun and I'm always back to a multi tabbed browser as my radio app.
- joao_msbandeira 3y agoThank you for the feedback, we just added this request to our product roadmap, it's something that we also had in mind. It would be great to learn more from your experience, feel free to email me: joao@myradioglobal.com
- ksaj 3y agoI wish the titles also said what city/state they are in. Otherwise, this is really great. I also like the other suggestion, of having bookmarks or something to facilitate easy returning to particular stations (versus searching each time).

- ksaj 3y agoI'll look forward to updates as this grows. It's nice and fast, and hopefully will stay that way. Remember how easy it was to change radio stations on a 70's car radio? You just pressed one of the 5 buttons you pre-programmed for a certain station and band. That experience is lacking these days. But now you can hear a lot further, so it's also important to signal where each station actually is.
