You can pay $1 for the first year for all manner of stupid funny names, and people do. For anyone here that would be easy - but for non-techies you can see the use case for a service that does it for them. This really is just providing a convenient service that this specific userbase demonstrably wants. If anyone else wanted to do the same they could, nobody's stopping you. But this is an actual service for Bluesky's users.
