If you read this you get the impression that these people are willfully ... well, you know, "not lying". The minister says
It seems that everything in science, from early primary school through to Year 13, will be taught through just four contexts: climate change, biodiversity, the food-energy-water nexus, and infectious diseases.
Which does not contradict what the minister says:
Education Minister Jan Tinetti said there was no question the final curriculum would include chemistry, physics and biology and other core science topics.
It just points out what the minister/government finds important: children must draw the right conclusions. To avoid them drawing the wrong conclusions based on actual scientific knowledge ... I would argue that this is a worldwide theme, especially on climate change.
