Not my experience at all. My experience is usually more like “Make X faster” or “Integrate Foobar with Gloofuz” or “Make this Desktop application run in a Browser”. Easy to require, years of hard work to actually do. A non-coding example would be “Safely fly a man to the moon and back again”. Easy to require, hard to do. I have never in my 30+ years career worked with a Business Analyst or non-coding Architect who provided any positive value to any of the projects I have worked on. That of course doesn’t mean that they don’t exist. I just haven’t experienced it personally.
