Agreed. Nvidia’s success comes from their unrelenting drive and ability to pivot to new markets. They didn’t independently discover that GPUs would be super useful for DL but they did see the incredible potential and invested big time into it. So while completion will come, Nvidia isn’t going to pull an Intel and sit by collecting datacenter revenue on incrementally better hardware. The way I see it, Nvidia will really only be outdone by some major paradigm shift in their biggest markets, e.g., a breakthrough in AI computing that no longer relies on digital ICs.
