I see a lot of discussion about how AI will cause issues for education in the western world. I feel it's also interesting to think about its effect on the developing world. It's not hard to imagine how GPT-4 could revolutionize education for someone in an under-resourced school. It's essentially a private tutor with massive amounts of background information and near-fluency in English. For many students, then, it may be a learning accelerant — not an impediment.
