Incidentally, Playstation is primarily an American endeavor now. Sony Interactive Entertainment and Playstation Studios are now based out of California. Most of the first and second party developers are American or European. Playstation owns just one Japanese developer. Some claim that this western shift has compromised the "quirky" aspect of the Playstation brand. Playstation has an amazing track record of releasing games, but from a wider view the games do look homogenous.
