This is a great breakdown of imo why the show is Not Good – they didn't need to hit all of these points, but the way the show was written it was like nobody on the engineering team had ever thought about these things before. It totally breaks reality for me when people in a work of fiction who have apparently been doing the job for a long time act brand new when something happens. The teamwork across this whole escapade felt very much like a child's idea of how teams work. The show is full of stuff like this like [SPOILER] the sheriff leaves and nobody discusses that they will have to find a replacement until after he's gone?? [/SPOILER] that is just so thin and un-real it just falls flat imo. Very much in the teen post-apocalyptic genre, even though it has more of the trappings of Serious Adult Fare. (If u want current adult sci fi Foundation gets top marks from me! It takes its world and its people seriously.)
