I've seen people cram their heads with all kinds of prep problems like designing an elevator, a parking lot or a social media site and I have never understood the rationale behind such questions. Design isn't something you could do in an hour. Design is also a trial and error thing. Slight changes in data flow might change the entire system architecture.
