My mother, I love her, but all of her worldview is based off of the news. No social life, no hobbies, no books, no real experience. It’s amazing, but understandable, how she perceives risk. Cars get in crashes. Flights are always delayed. Big cities are dangerous. The news has done its job keeping her engaged but she is no better for it
