You must surely realize "tech books for girls" comes across as sexist, yes?
This isn't about tech textbooks, but books about tech. ("So we set out with the audacious goal to define the best books about tech out there.")
For me, I've only read 2 of these books. Many of them look good. I would also like to read "The Friendly Orange Glow: The untold story of the PLATO System and the dawn of cyberculture".
I think the restriction to "books still in print" makes things complicated as it biases the selection to newer books. Is "Inmates" (from 2004) still in print? How many of these books will still be in print after 20 years?
- eimrine 3y agoI haven't noticed "still in print" restriction, sorry. I skimmed quickly through names, because I do not expect such a restriction from "greatest of all times" statement. Who cares about that when you are going to a book shelf in order to read some great books? I will stop being a sexist in context of what book to read for this and that human if I see at least one female philosophist.
