Story about creating simple website on Windows 98 that works on Internet Explorer 5 and Netscape Navigator 4.51

Maybe I’m wrong but CSS feels a bit anachronistic - almost everything was straight HTML back then. Maybe a little flash and a little JS?

Well, CSS was released in 1994, and browsers like IE or Netscape Navigator tried to support it. But it wasn't perfect, and it was still easier to use table-based layouts and HTML attributes to add some basic "style" to the page. Anyway, I wanted to use as modern solutions as possible at the time :) and it worked, at least for Internet Explorer 5 :)
