- kristianp 3y agoPretty funny that they've blocked their own tweets from public view as well.
- 3np 3y agoSame. I just get "Something went wrong. Try reloading."
- trashface 3y agoIf you don't have an account (or aren't logged in) that is what you get now. Been like that for a few days as part of their defense against excessive scraping or so Musk claims, but unclear if they will ever re-enable unauth'ed reads.
- midoridensha 3y agoHopefully not. I'd like to see them require a paid account just to access the site and see any tweets. Even better, make it per-use: instead of a flat monthly fee, charge $X for viewing Y tweets, and $A for writing $B tweets. On top of this, (paying) readers should be forced to view ads, with their accounts locked if an ad-blocker is detected, with an extra unlocking fee to be paid to get access to their account again. Overall, I think Elon is doing okay with the changes to Twitter, but I think there's a lot more he could be doing to improve profitability, such as my proposals above.
- freetanga 3y agoPlease make it so closed down that people who don’t give 2 sh*ts about the platform never have to see it again embedded in every News Website article. Lock it down and throw the key. And stay inside.
