I wish this weren't the case. In a government where an embarrassing email is more important than sound policy, we all loose. Yet, from both sides, we cast out politicians for gaffes and misspeaks while leaving those who don't offend and merely mismanage and embezzle to reap the rewards. Maybe I'm just being pessimistic.
