- withinboredom 3y agoI couldn’t move my tongue for a few days (to let it reattach) then it was painful for a few more days, then some of it turned white and rotted off over a few weeks. But other than some gnarly teeth shaped scars, it works and functions like a normal tongue after 20 years. Carrying around a note explaining why I couldn’t talk was also entertaining.
