Risk-Storming
- rcxdude 3y agoAKA a risk assessment or FMEA.
- ABS 3y agonot even a foot note for Event Storming of which this is clearly a tiny subset reusing most of its ideas?
- nivertech 3y agoI don't see how this is related to EventStorming[1], aside from the use of sticky notes. BTW: there are many similar visual collaboration methods described in this book [2] --- [1] "EventStorming", not "Event Storming" [2] https://www.visualcollaborationtools.com/ https://www.visualcollaborationtools.com/
- eternityforest 3y agoSeems like this could be used almost anywhere, nothing is software specific. Seems like the kind of thing (Along with Crew Resource Management) people should be learning really early on and using everywhere.
- aaron695 3y agoHaving done Risk Matrix's in construction. Invaluable for immature companies. They turn mature companies into mud. There are infinite risks and every bureaucrat has to make their mark. And because you get to the stage of things so rare, it's impossible to quantify. It's almost like when Homer was promoted to safety and incidents went down. "Risk-Storming" as they call it, slows work so much, less incidents happen because less stuff happens. (For Homer it was getting him out of the way that reduced incidents) I didn't look real hard but Risk Matrix software was garbage. Most people did it in Word and after adjusting it for the 100th time the word document was falling apart. People pay good money to get this stuff out of the way, anything to do with compliance equals dollars. Maybe there's an app idea there, maybe it exists, maybe it's too hard to fine tune it to keep the majority happy.
