Food is easier to transport than people and a warmer planet might be able to produce more food.

  "Might" is doing some lifting there. If long term weather patterns settle down, then that might be true, but in the short term, there's going to be a lot of crops that are dependant on having certain weather within certain times. Maybe there'll be a major shift to only growing irrigated crops, but it's pricey to shift water around to where it's needed. I think there's going to be more food supply issues than can be solved with simply transporting food (especially to poorer regions).
