Why I don’t disagree with these proposed rules, I find it scary that a government agency outside of our elected officials has the power to enact these rules. I see this infringing on freedom of speech, but perhaps a lawyer would disagree with my opinion.
- radley 3y agoMaybe it's better to have rules crafted by experts. Do you want science based on charisma as well?
- anigbrowl 3y agogovernment agency outside of our elected officials The FTC commissioners are appointed by the President, an elected official. Congress creates government bodies as departments or commissions depending on whether it wants them to directly report to the executive or have some independence from it.
