A lot of the weapons we have given to Ukraine are old, and we'd have to pay to dispose of them before too long. Giving them to a good cause is a fitting use for them, and actually saves money. See for example the Zuni rockets and many other items. It's totally crazy that the pentagon put out a contract for more of these almost obsolete weapons. I'd love to blame RTX, but if someone at the pentagon is willing to put the money out, it's hard to blame them for taking it.
