Quick googling says that Piorun is heavier, slower, smaller payload, and smaller operational range. But even if it is better, can Poland ramp up production to meet the demand?
- dralley 3y agoSays what reference? Every one I can find states the opposite. Not to mention Piorun has a much better seeker.

- jandrewrogers 3y agoThere is no credible basis to believe the Piorun has a better seeker. Piorun's seeker uses a design similar to obsolete variants of the Stinger. Modern Stingers share a guidance package with the AIM-9X Sidewinder and, unlike the Piorun, have dual mode imagers that work in both IR and UV which makes them impervious to flares.
