I had a roomate who was dating a former dancer/escort. I remember she telling us how the girls in the business were trapped in this drug - sex - money - drug - sex vicious cycle, some owed more money than they could make (which was a lot, at least compared to what I was making as an entry level engineer), so it was virtually impossible for them to quit.

- ProllyInfamous 3y agoI was this STUPID roommate, once. She "was retired." To quote my ex, "I have an expensive lifestyle" — as she unretired herself and left me sick. Never again — the Romans were right in stripping SWers of their citizenship.
- LorenPechtel 3y agoBut note that it's the drugs that are trapping them, not the lifestyle. I do agree there is a problem with the easy money trapping people but I don't think that's enough to warrant making it illegal.
