I don't know the contents of the calls, but if the call is talking about someone armed keeping someone in the house, or someone barricading themselves, swat is the correct response. I think this is just a symptom of having so many weapons around, getting calls about dangerous gun owners is routine and resorting to swat is more "routine" than anywhere else.
