I thought I was underpaid given the salaries I see people brag about online, but if the salary ranges presented by recruiters are any indication, my company is right in line with the industry..with the obvious variable being stock-based comp. My suspicion is that the majority of people lie online about salaries to inflate their egos, even in an anonymous setting. There are some people making ridiculous amounts of money - but most are not.
