After Youtube inserted more obnoxious ads and the older ad blockers stopped working I simply viewed youtube less a lot less. Personally I don't like video content as its too slow of a medium to deliver information - I cant skim a video like an article. So that's already a strike. If I see ads that wont let me skip them, I close the video. Nothing is that important to waste a minute my time. I mean you have to watch an ad to watch a film preview - an ad itself. Absurd platform I prefer not to engage with anymore.
