- hospitalJail 3y agoSure, but now its not dishwasher safe because mold.
- mcpackieh 3y agoMold is the reason wood isn't dishwasher safe? Dishwashers get very hot, I thought they damage wood by steaming it. But shouldn't the steam kill the mold?
- hnlmorg 3y agoI have lots of wooden kitchenwear, all of which gets put in the dishwasher regularly and none of which has gone mouldy. I also tend to wash a lower heat if that makes any difference. Though I can’t see why it should.
- hospitalJail 3y agoAnecdotes aren't data. You should google this stuff btw, you may have mold/bacteria growing inside your wooden stuff.
- floren 3y agoMy mother has a casserole dish which slips into a rattan sleeve with little leather lifting handles. You can then carry it to the table, pass it around, etc. without burning your hands. It's held up for my entire lifetime so the design seems pretty solid.
