I don't like Bill Gates, and I don't believe that he only associated with Jeffrey Epstein to discuss philanthropy. But, honestly, this article feels like a stretch. They contracted a third party company to do security checks, and that third party appears not to have been good enough to know what was legal to ask job candidates. That's indicative of a poor management practice for hiring that third party, perhaps, but the headline makes it sound like they were trying to find women who would have sex with Gates, which does not appear to have been remotely the case here. "Gates's office hired poorly run company to do security checks on job candidates" is not as likely to get clicks, but it sounds like a more accurate description of what was going on here.

The alternative spin is that they had a third party do the dirty work to give Gates plausible deniability. > the headline makes it sound like they were trying to find women who would have sex with Gates Well, Melinda Gates was an underling of Bill at Microsoft.
- rossdavidh 3y agoDefinitely not saying Bill Gates doesn't have questionable history. I'm just saying I don't know that this article is particularly good evidence of it. But, not feeling sorry for Gates in this regard, since he has historical issues here.
- kreetx 3y agoI'm with you on this. The news sites are so desperate for attention that they border on being ethical themselves..
