That seems much more reasonable than the status quo of houses being purchased for 10-30% above asking price, in cash, before an open house happens, sans inspection. It's been frustrating seeing a few friends try to buy a home in the past couple years, but basically get steamrolled at every turn because they aren't willing to drop all their income on a home purchase sight-unseen.
