I used to work for a University. We did somewhat consultancy-near work for public administration. Administration approached us to write a paper/report, praising the benefits of mobile devices, specifically iOS Pads for "innovation work". After analysis of the typical work been, my conclusion was stick with laptops. Only top management is directing, others create by entering text into a device. They need a proper keyboard. My advice was put down and numerous Pads have been ordered. Workforce increased steadily because suddenly it became apparent that someone has to do the work. Sure, that was not the only reason, would need to to a proper sensitivity analysis. Was a personal victory but a sad day for the tax payer.
