How does one notice microplastics? Do you notice microplastics from anything?

- robinduckett 3y agoHe clearly meticulously inspects each brew with a scanning electron microscope. Listen, there is a certain level that coffeeheads get to…
- joecool1029 3y agoI think maybe microwaving the aeropress is a bad idea for microplastic concern, but using near boiling water from a kettle in them may not be as bad. Less local heating and no potential to have any parts climb over boiling point.
- yetihehe 3y agoIt's about how much microplastics is too much. After two years of use, I don't see a lot of plastic being eaten away comparing to a new one, so I don't think it's much of a deal.
- etrautmann 3y agoI think this discussion includes leeched chemicals like hormone disruptors, not only physical plastic particles.
- Reubachi 3y agoWhen people discuss microplastics, they are not necessarily ever meaning "visible plastic", but rather chemical offgassing.
