5.9" is considered compact now?
- circularfoyers 3y agoThis also surprised me. I thought 5" is what was considered small. Thinking back to my Nexus 5.
- causality0 3y agoThe Zenfone 10 has less than five percent more surface area (Length x Width) than your Nexus 5.
- dvhh 3y agoProbably has something to do with the bezel size
- causality0 3y agoAlso having a 20:9 screen instead of 16:9.
- throwing_away 3y agoI suppose it's really more about cultural perception than anything else.
- sedatk 3y agoiPhone Mini was (RIP) 5.42" and felt very compact. I loved its form factor, but hated its battery life.
- 8ytecoder 3y agoIt was the best phone for everyday use - apart from the missing 2x zoom camera (I didn’t care for the wide angle) and the battery life.
- dawidpotocki 3y agoKeep in mind that Nexus 5 has a 16:9 aspect ratio when this phone is more like 18:9. My 5,2" Motorola Moto G5 Plus fits pretty tight in a case for a Google Pixel 6a, which has a 6,1" screen. Here are some body size measurements: Moto G5 Plus: 15,0x7,4cm Pixel 6a: 15,2x7,1cm When it comes to the Zenfone and Nexus 5: Zenfone 10: 14,65x6,8cm Nexus 5: 13,8x6,9cm
- abind 3y agoYeah, this is about the same size as a non-mini iPhone. I dread the day that my iPhone 13 mini stops working.
- nfriedly 3y agoDiagonal screen size is a terrible measurement when different phones have different aspect ratios. That said, even when going by volume, this isn't a particularly small phone at 94 cm3. A current-gen iPhone SE is only 68 cm3. The zenphone 10 sits in between the 81.8 cm3 iPhone 14 and the 99 cm3 iPhone 14 Pro Max. Or compared to Samsung, the "regular sized" Galaxy S23 is 78.8 cm3. Even the S23+ is slightly smaller at 91 cm3! Only the S23 Ultra is significantly larger at 114 cm3. (All volumes here were determined by multiplying the deminsions listed on GSM Arena. They're probably all slightly off due to camera bumps, but should be comparable to each other.)
