I've to be honest, when I had fever taking an hot shower really helped me cure the symptoms of fever for at least an hour and subsequently feeling less feverish. I remember I did it a couple of time this thing and it "worked". Now, I don't know if it effectively removes the root cause, but it helped with the fever.
