>It felt like a good chance for camaraderie that can be missing when you're staying in separate hotel rooms. Even though there's not a lot of time for hanging out with each other — if we're in a hotel or Airbnb, we're just trying to get some sleep before the next day's events — it was still nice to have that space to even make coffee together in the morning.
This is really the only reason why I still consider AirBnB when I'm planning a trip. For example, I'm trying to get 6 guys together for a bachelor party/trip to the beach, and while there are hotels there, I think the experience would be much better having everyone in a private yet communal space.
I was on a trip a few weeks ago where I stayed in a multi-room apartment with a friend's family and it was a better experience than I would have gotten at a hotel due to the communal aspect.
Are there hotels that rent out properties like that? It seems like it would be an area that those companies would want to break into to undercut a "disruptor" to their industry like AirBnB.
