They probably want to make sure the plane is undisturbed before it can be examined by crash investigators and so on?
There's probably a bit of a safety and practicality aspect of accessing a plane with a collapsed gear.
- justinclift 3y agoSure, they can "want" whatever they err... want. Doesn't seem like they should get their way when it comes to people's id and other personal docs, if that's what's really going on. Potentially stranding international passengers without their passport (etc) is really not on.
