CPS has destroyed all records of Keir Starmer's four trips to Washington
- boffinAudio 3y agoThe treatment of Julian Assange is a reprehensible stain on the assumed moral authority of the one nation on Earth that falls over itself to lecture the rest of the world on human rights, when it suits it, time and time again. How any reasonable member of the 5-eyes superstate can tolerate the chemical lobotomy of Julian in one of the most repressive institutions the West has ever seen, astonishes me. We are truly manifesting the very things Hanna Arendt strived hard to warn her generations about, and as the days go by that Julian and others like him slip into the dark abyss of America's military industrial complex, I fret for the free world, such as it remains. And now we witness the depravity of America's utterly corrupt intellience reich, which extends supra-national tentacles into the bowels of the beast, to cover its own vast and heinous crimes against humanity and violations of human rights at insane scales. None of this protects us. It makes us entirely weaker as a society. As the totalitarian-authoritarian personalities get their way, cover their crimes, and victimize those who warned us of it all, I hope our children have the temerity to confront our failings. This atrocity must stop: FREE JULIAN ASSANGE NOW. (The leaks will continue for as long as the crimes do, also!)
- PlutoIsAPlanet 3y agoLost respect for Julien Assange when Wikileaks became pickey and choosey about what they leaked based on who they support politically.
- boffinAudio 3y agoWhy do you think that position is appropriate, though? Any private organization can choose its battles. It turns out that Wikileaks was stringently anti-imperialist, and anti-war, and wanted the world to know that the one nation that makes the claim of moral authority over human rights, invading and destroying any nation or culture it deems inferior to its own, was in fact its worst violator. Remember: Julian is a citizen of one of the worst violators of human rights in the Western world. Why wouldn't he work tirelessly to address that issue, and his native country's corrupt participation in the criminal 5-eyes cabal? The idea that a private organization working on addressing our war crimes and our crimes against humanity and our violations of human rights at mass scale is 'corrupt because it does not complain about the Russians' at scales demanded by a collective in-party factually ruled by the actual criminals involved, is not only highly specious, but also extremely destructive to the effort to attain justice for our victims. And, isn't that really the point of this position, and the destruction of Wikileaks, and the lobotomization of Julian - to prevent the circumstances where the real war criminals are removed from power to face real justice? Why should we clean up Russia's mess? We are not Russian. We are members of the 5-eyes superstate that has been committing crimes against humanity, on average, every twenty minutes for twenty years. The magnitude of that crime is so enormous that we simply will never be able to address the war crimes of other nations while we continue to be ruled by our own war criminals. Which Wikileaks was in a position to understand, quite well, on the frontlines of the leaks. So I think your position is just butt-hurt, sorry for putting it so blunt. The magnitude of our crimes requires a much more serious effort not to ignore them, and bleat (whatabout?!) about others, instead. Your position is analogous to the school bully whining because one of the lesser kids also didn't get punished for their bullying, too. Yet. But that's absolutely specious, imho - at least until we demonstrate the real moral authority we claim, and start sending our own war criminals off to rot in chains in The Hague. Where they really, really belong. You start with the biggest criminal bullies first. Always. And that's exactly what Wikileaks and Julian did, and should be respected for...
- _kbh_ 3y ago> It turns out that Wikileaks was stringently anti-imperialist, and anti-war. Ah so I suspect Wikileaks has started publishing Russian leaks once Russia showed itself to be an imperialist beast then right?. > Why wouldn't he work tirelessly to address that issue, and his native country's corrupt participation in the criminal 5-eyes cabal? Im confused, are you aware that Assange is Australian?. You can see Wikileaks reporting on Australia here. https://wikileaks.org/wiki/Category:Australia https://wikileaks.org/wiki/Category:Australia It's super minimal. I am going to regret asking this but these extraordinary claims are going to require evidence. > You start with the biggest criminal bullies first. Always. And that's exactly what Wikileaks and Julian did, and should be respected for... Then we must go for Russia first, this is no recent analogue to Russias coordinated execution, rape and torture of civilians, in not just Ukraine but in Chechnya too.

- _kbh_ 3y agoNone of what you wrote is true but truth matters little to Russian trolls.
- donottellanyone 3y agooh, but it is true, though your media don't tell you about it. You just have to search yourself, which I doubt you are capable of. And what you have written about Russia, in the way you have written it, has a simple definition: libel.
