Use pygwalker to build visual analysis app in streamlit
- curiousgal 3y agoFrom my experience, all fo these dashboard frameworks in python look fine and dandy but break as soon as you try to extend them. How easy is it to add components? Say I want to trigger actions based on hover events or capture click data, would that be even feasible? Use cases like those, just to name a few, are why I keep going back to R's Shiny. It makes it much easier to write React components and just communicate custom data between the browser and the server.
- sigg3 3y agoThanks for the recommendation, I've never heard of shiny before! This is definitely something I can make use of in the not so distant future. Time to brush the dust off those R skills.
- dav43 3y agoIt’s also available for python now also.
- barrenko 3y agoShiny is great because R is great.
- loa_observer 3y agolatest update, use pygwalker in R with GWalkR: https://github.com/Kanaries/GWalkR https://github.com/Kanaries/GWalkR
- loa_observer 3y agopygwalker is actually a python binding of graphic-walker, which can be embedded in any environment: A R binding of graphic-walker, a plugin of graphic-walker in excel, etc.
- loa_observer 3y agoYou can have a look at graphic-walker behind pygwalker, which provides more API to interact. graphic-walker is a react component and pygwalker is the python binding of it.
- basic_banana 3y agoFor react components, this might be what you want: https://github.com/Kanaries/graphic-walker https://github.com/Kanaries/graphic-walker
