Nice. I didn't realize that some companies don't pay out PTO.
- dragonwriter 3y agoLaws on whether and what PTO needs to be paid out vary a lot by jurisdiction (including, in the US, different states), and in some cases are contingent on mutual agreement with a default setting in the event that there is no explicit agreement to the contrary. So, you need to check not only your contract, but also the governing law (both as to what the default is, and as to whether the contract even has the power to override it.)
