I managed to install those packages and now Blender recognizes my 6700XT as a HIP-capable device, however selecting the GPU and switching to render view crashes Blender with a segfault, I might have to do some investigation to see if I can fix this. Thanks for the help.
- slavik81 3y agoYou can often get more information about an error by setting the environment variable AMD_LOG_LEVEL=3. I briefly talked to the Fedora maintainer and they mentioned there was a known issue with their HIP package. I'd encourage you to file a bug report with Fedora (if one does not exist already). Their packages are under active development and I think you can expect the matter to be resolved promptly.
