Most of this is either a very atypical experience or just made up. And obviously is from the perspective of a kid on his own for the first time. Being able to spend most of your money on renting a bachelor apartment and not afford a car doesn't sound too appealing for most adults.
- amrocha 3y agoIt's literally my own experience, and most of my friends who live by themselves have said similar things. Most people my age don't want a car, we want to live in the city center. People that live with their parents have a car usually, but that's it. It's not a big deal. I get that it can be hard to understand if you've lived in awful car dependent cities your whole life though.
