That's quite a novel display. It's like a "smart" monitor with it's own built in privacy filter. I wonder if that was one of the initial applications for the display technology, and if there are any organizations out there using them for that purpose. From a security standpoint, I think it would make sense for guard stations to use screens like these so that security-related information cannot be snooped by eavesdroppers. Similarly, ATMs or other public terminals where people might be inputting/displaying sensitive information. Who owns the IP for it?
