Most people in this thread blaming Disney are massively overlooking Ratatouille which came out after Disney took over Pixar. The main woman in the film is allowed to have a big nose instead of a button nose, and she also doesn't have the stupidly large "Pixar mom" hips that have become prevalent in animated films from a lot of production companies. I would love to see more female characters like Colette in animated film. And that's just aesthetic things about character design. Ratatouille is one of the most re-watchable films they made. The perspective of seeing the world from a rat's POV is inventive, the score is pleasant, the concept is fun, and the message is soulful.
