I have lived throughout different parts of Texas most of my life (born and raised in Dallas). The current heat wave isn't some grand sign of global warming - it just gets hot here... triple digits isn't a rarity. We have hot summers and really hot summers - always have.
- namaria 3y agoThe planet is 1,5 C above Holocene average already and folks be saying "summers always hot" lol. We're screwed.
- oceanplexian 3y agoWhy start at the Holocene? Worldwide, temperatures went up 5C at the end of the Pleistocene. Strangely I never hear people blaming the extinction of neanderthals on their inability to take public transit, but clearly climate change existed back then, too.
- namaria 3y agoWould you like to live like the Neanderthals of the Pleistocene?
