You are doing logs wrong
- valyala 3y agoThese are slides from my 5-minute talk at Monitorama. IMHO modern shiny UIs for logs analysis are completely broken from the usability and prosuctivity PoV. They make log analysis harder comparing to plain old command-line tools such a as grep, head, less, awk, cut, sort, unique, etc.
- Zambyte 3y agojq really does not seem like a great language for querying. It's harder than tar to remember how to use. Otherwise I agree that plain text is the way to go for logging.
