Please don't flag things you aren't interested in and please don't tell others to do it. Just leave it alone. It takes one of 30 slots on the front page and if it is upvoted again after less than a year, probably it is because there are a number of people like me that don't read HN every day (anymore) that missed it. Flagging is for nasty stuff you don't want on the front page or things that for other reasons don't belong on HN. I have lost count of all the promising threads that went nowhere because someone abused flags to remove it.
