Decentralized social networking app Damus to be removed from App Store
- colinsane 3y agoremoved for implementing in-app payments that bypass Apple’s revenue split: until/unless other social apps also get removed, you can safely ignore “decentralized social networking” in the title as irrelevant. the payments here were done with Bitcoin’s Lightning Network. if there’s an angle here it’s more likely to be around that: have any other LN capable apps been removed?
- unstatusthequo 3y agoDownloaded this a week ago when they mentioned it was a possibility of removal. Funny, Cojnbase let’s you send crypto I guess Apple is cool with that? Is it the tipping that’s the issue? Seems like a double standard here. Or maybe Coinbase made a deal with Apple?
