To clarify a bit, MDMA original intention was for therapy. However, it was quickly off-scripted (so to speak) as a club drug. There was a time in the mid to late 80's (in the USA) where MDMA was legal because, at the time, the way the drug laws were written, it wasn't illegal.
MDMA is simply returning to its roots.
- morkalork 3y agoI thought the film Ecstasy Rising covered that bit of history in a pretty fair and even handed manner for the time it came out. Most TV news coverage of mdma around that era was baseless fear mongering.
