Sorry for the tangent, but TIL: the word "kudos" was already in use in 1933: "But since there are people who deem it creditable if one does not change one’s mind, I should like to get what kudos I can from not having done so on this occasion!" And I thought it was some kind of youth slang :D (English is my second language but I've been using it primarily for most of my life).
