To make this fun: What's a strong belief that you used to have, that you don't have anymore? Especially ones that go counter to mainstream narrative. Two for me (might start some fights, but it's all in good fun): - I generally believed that Python was great for building big systems, but having worked on some very large Python codebases, I've become a real zealot for a good type system, especially when refactoring and maintenance becomes a major issue. - Having worked with and maintained a couple of event sourced systems, I've become much less of a purist, given how hard they are to maintain and build on. So I went from "event sourcing is awesome" to "YAGNI".
