They're undeleting deleted comments
- jasonladuke0311 3y agoI don’t think that they are, though that was my initial thought. I am seeing comments come back in waves. I think it’s from subreddits re-opening.
- tnecniv 3y agoI’ve seen some speculation they’ve been doing DB rollbacks for one reason or another which, intentionally or unintentionally, brings back your comments
- bigjimmyk3 3y agoI mass deleted all of my comments a few weeks ago, and some of them reappeared about a week later.
- Havoc 3y agoI'm aware. Will just see how it goes
- toomuchtodo 3y agoRate limit your requests; if you get 403 forbidden responses, you're editing and deleting too fast.
- Havoc 3y agoDidn't need to. Shreddit is point & shoot idiot proof Though you do need to give it access to your account via auth which many probably won't like If they restore the comments I'll look at something more sophisticated like editing with PRAW.
- throwaway5959 3y agoWhat? How is that remotely OK?
- Havoc 3y agoIt’s not. They’ve gone off the deep end
- bilekas 3y agoThis is the most egregious part imo.
- jimmaswell 3y agoDoes it help to edit first?
- gremlinsinc 3y agojust edit all your comments to basically say fuck Reddit and fuck spez at the end of the original comment, and either way you win. If everyone does that comment value goes down or Reddit deletes your comments.
