Same, I distro hopped for a while across various ubuntu and ubuntu derivatives, always ran into weird issues, stability problems, etc (and still do at work where we use ubuntu). Installed fedora eventually and have been using it ever since, outside of a packagekit bug like 7 years ago that didn't clear the cache and ate my disk space, it's been pretty smooth sailing.
